Hopkins now says that, unless the Arkansas State Police intervene,

We’re sitting on go” for the fall semester beginning on August 19. “The only thing that’s detracting from this process is the Attorney General’s erroneous opinion.”

About a third of his deputized staff have yet to receive their carry permits and if Arkansas does not issue those permits, Hopkins said the school would consider legal action.
