We need to turn out on Tuesday, December 3, from 6 to 7:30 pm for the Christmas lighting of the (real) Christmas tree and the lighting of the Faulkner County Courthouse.

County Judge Allen Dodson should be commended for how he led an initiative in gathering $7,000 in DONATIONS for a Christmas display.  As far as I know, no tax dollars have been used on this project.

tree-2For Conway’s tree, Mayor Tab Townsell and the Conway City Council chose to spend $133,000 in tax dollars.  They waived any bidding, claiming “an emergency.”

‘Glad to know we still celebrate Christmas publicly in Faulkner County!

‘Appreciate the efforts of those volunteers (including Judge Dodson) who have put lots of time and effort into making the celebration special.

Let’s be there!

Lots of good reasons to show up!
