This is just one undeniable, stark example why Common Core math is a total disaster for our children’s futures:  Using this method, “big numbers” are avoided because it “makes students think math is too hard; but they will naturally be able to calculate big numbers from the basics they learn” in Common Core.

Once you see the video, you’ll understand.  Doing math the Common Core way is just too painful!
