This lack of follow-through from Democrat candidates has become quite a sad trend in Arkansas since Republicans began winning local races a few years ago after 138 years of straight Democrat party control.

Area Democrats typically do not appear at candidate forums or field questions posed by conservatives, making it very difficult for voters to become informed and compare the two candidates.

While the Faulkner County Tea Party regularly invites candidates, both Democrat and Republican, to various forums and discussions, Democrats candidates rarely appear.

Studying the Family Council’s traditional Arkansas Voters Guide this year shows that Democrats in almost all races across the state “did not return the survey.”

A thoughtful independent voter would ask “Why?”  Why keep useful information from you, the voters who need to select a winning candidate?

It’s almost as if Democrats do not believe in the election process.

They do not trust you, the voters, to look at issues and all the candidates’ viewpoints (Democrat, Republican and third-party) to make informed decisions.  It’s as if putting their true intentions and policies out in front of you, the voters, has become irrelevant to them.

Is it?
