Smash-Mouth Politics: Why Being Right Isn’t Enough

It’s been years since we’ve written a book report. But it’s been years since we’ve read anything that could truly help shift our country’s current political landscape away from liberal politics and back to our conservative principles — move the needle, as we like to say.
You know the Progressives’ lies, prevarication, and non-transparency drive you nuts. Richardson points out a glaringly obvious reason for this: Conservatives understand that our exceptional America was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and we are taught as children to view the world from that perspective. Humanists place their trust in man over God, “thereby usurping for himself the exalted position.
So, Progressives are playing a different game altogether — and playing it very successfully. Their tactics totally derail our effort to get our conservative message across.
If you could read only two political books to strengthen you in the battle to save our America and our freedoms, “Confrontational Politics” together with a deep understanding of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” tell you everything you need to know.
This little 120-page book by former U.S. Senator H.L. Richardson is that powerful.
In “Confrontational Politics,” Richardson presents cogent instruction about the tactics and strategies of progressive politics that will absolutely keep freedom-loving Constitutional conservatives awake at night. As Richardson says, “Being right is not enough!”
But Richardson also lays out, in clear detail, how conservatives can effectively combat Progressive “humanists” and their stated intent to take over American politics.
In very plain language this little book explains why Progressive humanists get the upper hand with you in every conversation (or “confrontation,” as they are trained to call it). The facts are hard to swallow for most of us.
Richardson makes a solid case that the tactics conservatives unconsciously use in political battle are the problem, and instructs readers on how to recognize those self-defeating tactics as well as how to circumvent political traps set by Progressives.
As Richardson says,
Confrontation has the potential to be unpleasant and upsetting. Angry confrontation conjures up “in your face” situations which most people deplore. When applied to the political arena, it is doubly onerous. “Smash mouth” politics comes to mind, a situation that turns people off.
Those of us who espouse traditional American values must understand that contemporary confrontational politics isn’t of our making. It is, however, the foundation of the tactics successfully practiced by the leaders of the radical left. We must understand their methodology in order to combat them effectively.
Combat them we must. To do otherwise would be to abdicate the field of American politics which is, upon reflection, unthinkable, not to mention moral cowardice.
Get this book and study it so you can employ its stunning wisdom. We must fight to move the needle back to the righteous and just freedom-loving America our Founders worked so hard to create and preserve!
