hubris-dolezalWe had planned to comment on remarks made by Democrat strategist Brian Benjamin about Rachel Dolezal, the NAACP chapter president who — to the astonishment of her parents — lied for all those years about her race.  But his remarks actually stand on their own quite adequately.

Read and understand the hubris of liberal humanism:

I think we gotta not confuse two things.  Being an African-American is a biological state.  Being — deciding whether you’re black is, is, that’s racial identity but that’s not necessarily something you just decide by birth.

I think black is a social construct, primarily, and so as a result she, uh, there are arguments.  There’s a professor from Stanford — Allyson Hobbs, she wrote a book “A Chosen Exile,” which is about racial passing — and she believes that, that, um, this woman actually possibly could be black.

I think she inside feels an affinity with black culture and she wants her outside to reflect her inside.

It depends on “Can the individual decide, or does society get to decide?”

What he really means is that “political correctness” now passes as “social constructs” that will now determine both your sex (Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner) and your race (Rachel Dolezal).

Check your humanist privilege, Mr. Benjamin!
