Honestly, this is just the first step.  There are so many others.  There’s job protection, because you can be fired for being gay in Arkansas.  There’s housing protection, because you can be evicted from your apartment.

If you hadn’t noticed, there’s an all-out war going on in our state and it’s being waged with big money and big lobbyists.  The effort is staggering.

The Human Rights Campaign reported spending close to a million dollars during last spring’s Legislative session (the next largest amount spent lobbying at the session was around $35,000).  They aren’t going to stop with gay marriage; it’s not enough.
